How do our machines deliver uniform coverage and low batch-to-batch variation in seed treatment?
Understand the fundamentals of high-precision dosing, controlled atomization, and homogenization in VHM, VHS, and L-Series architectures, with CV validation.
In seed treatment, every detail matters. If the product doesn't cover the entire seed well, the final result can change, both in appearance and in field performance.
But after all, how can you ensure that all seeds receive the same layer of protection?
At Momesso, the answer lies in three main points: high-precision dosing, controlled atomization, and efficient homogenization.
You need to create a layer that protects you. See an example below.
Treating a seed is like applying sunscreen to your skin. If you only apply it to some parts, the result is uneven, meaning some areas are protected while others are not. The same thing happens with seeds. The layer of product needs to cover everything uniformly, without excess or gaps. And, for that to happen, the process needs to be well-adjusted.
Therefore, here are 5 important points for you to understand how our machines deliver uniform coverage and low batch-to-batch variation in seed treatment.
- High-precision dosage
Dosing is the first step to ensure each seed receives the right amount of product. Momesso's systems maintain a stable flow rate throughout the treatment, preventing variations. Following our sunscreen analogy, it's like squeezing a bottle of sunscreen and always getting the same amount, not too much, not too little.
This consistency prevents waste and ensures a uniform layer across all batches.
- Controlled atomization
After dosing comes atomization: the moment when the liquid is transformed into small particles and spread over the seeds. These particles form the “protective film,” much like when you spread sunscreen until it completely covers your skin.
When the jet and pressure are well adjusted, the application becomes more homogeneous, resulting in seeds with balanced coverage and a uniform appearance.
- Homogenization by machine type
Each type of Momesso machine mixes in a different way, but all have the same goal: to spread the product equally on all seeds.
Continuous VHM: uses an atomizer and a screw conveyor, which move and mix seeds in a constant flow.
Continuous VHS: combines atomizer with a rotating drum, maintaining continuous treatment and regulating passage time.
Batch Series L: uses an atomizer and centrifuge within a bowl, ensuring each batch receives the same coating standard.
Treated well. Treated Momesso.
